Greenville - The Place to Hike, Bike and Drive

Located in the upstate of South Carolina, Greenville is a mid-sized city some 100 miles northwest of Columbia. Located on the Piedmont Plateau the Blue Ridge Mountains are only minutes from the heart of town. Visitors can enjoy a great time as they are great for hiking, biking or just a Sunday drive. Sheltered by the hills, Greenville also exists as a perfect environment for business. There are a number of large corporations who make their home in the Greenville area (BMW, Michelin) which makes it more than just a business place. Greenville is a nice place to live, enjoy, and prosper.

Art lovers must visit the Greenville County Museum of Art which has a fine collection of Southern works, as well as pieces by such 20th-century artists as Jasper Johns and Georgia O’Keeffe. For an impressive collection of European religious art, you must visit the Bob Jones University Museum and Gallery.

When you are in Greenville either for your short term or long term stay, the city restaurants will serve you different kinds of delectable cuisines. The barbecue sauce is tomato based and the best sauce in town is cut with a little bit of Cheerwine. Tea lovers can satisfy themselves with tea that is always iced and always sweet. For a pleasant and nice evening stroll, Reedy River Historic Park and Greenway provide some excellent riverbank footpaths. The Zoo has about 200 animals, a playground and picnic area. Another attraction is the Hollywild Animal Park, where they have Hollywood stars from the animal kingdom.

Greenville
for years has been a popular resort for Lowcountry planters trying to escape the mosquitoes and the heat and the climate is still a good reason to come here.
